Book #1 (Continued)

We have continued reading, to chapter six, but I personally read ahead until chapter eight anyway. We are going to have our first book club 'meeting,' pretty soon. Don't Look Behind You has moments where it completly grabs my attention, and then times where the events are just flat out dud. I mean, the author could've and should've stretched some events our further, but I guess it is like the events; very fast. It's still kind of disturbing to me as a reader, I don't know how it couldn't've been too with her as I writer. And I can say I personally have some experience with writing, so I'm not just some random foolish chick making assumptions negativly towards the writer...but AS A READER, I'm not pleased.

Book #1

The book we're reading first, is called "Don't Look Behind You," by Lois Duncan. It's by the bestselling auhtor of, "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

Here's the back cover:
"It's senior year, and April has everything--great friends, a handsome boyfriend, and a shot at the state championships. Until she learns her family mus disappear into the Federal Witness Security Program to save their lives. There can be no explanations, no good-byes. And no going back. If you had a perfect life, would you be able to walk away forever? April has no choice."

Hello

Hello, I'm HaiHai. You may know me from my Twilight blogs, and you may know me from my sixth grade journal, or you might not know me at all! :D That's okay, you certainly will. A few of my friends and I joined a book club and here will be posting about all books we read in it, and if one of us happens to find a book that we read by ourselves that we particularly liked, we can talk about that too.

My favorite books are as follows:

2. Breaking Dawn, By: Stephenie Meyer
3. Eclipse, By: Stephenie Meyer
4. New Moon, By: Stephenie Meyer
5. Wuthering Heights, By: Emily Bronte'
6. The View From Saturday, By: EL Konigsburg
7. Inkheart, By: 'Funke'
8. Out Of The Dust, By: Karen Hesse
9. Hatchet, By: Gary Paulsen
10. Inkdeath, By: 'Funke'
11. Inkspell, By: 'Funke'

I also enjoy poetry by lots of poets-ex. Robert Frost and Edgar Allan Poe.

First I'll bring up the book Twilight. I had read this by myself, and so did everyone else. So, that's what this book discussion will be on.
You can see my full Twilight journal of reading the books at mytwilightjournal.blogspot.com

Check back soon for our discussion on the book Twilight, introductions from other people, and a discussion over what we are now reading.
